Pandion haliaetus

ISO 320 f/6.3 1/640 sec cropped

This Osprey hangs out on this branch right out in front of my house everyday. There is a lake right off my backyard but I've yet to catch it going after any fish. It just sits on that branch for a large portion of the afternoon and flys off near dusk. I can usually tell if it is up there because when I pull up in the driveway it will many times give off a big screech. These shots were actually taken from out of out guest bedroom window. I think I'm going to have to get a teleconverter to get a little closer but these aren't too bad. Taken with a Nikon D70s with an AF ED Nikkor 300mm 1:4 on a tripod.

For some reason the way blogger renders the pics is a little pixilated. If you click on the pics you get a much clearer rendition.
